39 hit and…. – The Hungry Runner Girl

A Saturday run with Lauren and Maddie to start the weekend off. I’m always very grateful when schedules align, and we can share miles. I needed some motivation to start my run after being sore from lifting at the gym the day before and they were great motivation.

I am pretty sure that for each and every run, I have at least one thing on inside out.

When Andrew is working close to us, we make sure to visit him. It’s always a guessing game where he will be each shift, which would hurt my non-flexible brain, but he thrives with it.

We hung out at my sister’s house for quite some time.

These kids could play football all day long.

And then I went to a skin bar. I turned 39 and am suddenly obsessed with wanting to do more for my skin. When I went in, I asked them what they recommended to start with, and we did a light chemical peel. I will do this 3 times (every 4-6 weeks) and then go for microneedling. This is why I am no longer getting my nails done; it makes these skin treatments basically free because I’m using nail money on my skin instead;). Girl math. PS When I typed out 39, it reminded me that I read the other day that the average life expectancy is 76, which means 38 is midlife… Running better keep us going for so much longer than the average life expectancy.

We had Andrew with us for a bit on Sunday morning, and he made our traditional weekend crepes.

It was a mood follows action kind park trip (I stuck in the shade), and it definitely improved my mood.

And for just a few more scenes from our Sunday:

I’m very happy with the fact that Brooke is loving baking and cooking these days.

The family came over…

We are off to an appointment with an ENT to set the date for when he will get his second set of ear tubes. It’s another double ear infection for this guy.

Please tell me some girl math that you have used recently. Make me feel normal!

Ever had a chemical peel?? Any skin treatments that you love?

-I’ve had a few, but I’ve never actually peeled from them. You have to stay away from makeup, working out, and the sun, so I love it when a place offers Saturday options because I always take Sundays off from running already.

What crepe toppings will I need to get in Paris? PS Any restaurant musts there?

If you are working currently, is your job pretty routine, or does it require flexibility?
